    Have you seen all those windmills popping up all over the horizon with promise of clean, renewable energy at low cost? And all the news about solar panels getting cost competitive with fossil fuels? How about all the electric and hybrid cars and bikes that are all the rave? Taken a ride in those sleek high speed trains in China, Japan, Europe or other parts of the world?

     

    All these are the faces of the future because of our increasing need for sustainable energy production and utilization. And one thing common between all of these technologies is they need to convert one electrical energy from one form to other. From AC to DC, from one voltage to another and so on. And that's exactly the task that is done so well by our little GaN switches.
